How to Start Investing in Individual Stocks with Alex
Thursday Jan 07, 2021
Thursday Jan 07, 2021
In today’s episode, we will speak to my friend Alex Mason, host of the Stock Stories Podcast.
While he focuses mostly on S&P500 companies (i.e. largest publicly traded companies in the US), the great thing for us in Europe is that he also dives into European stocks like Total, Nestlé, or Louis Vuitton amongst others.
We will talk about how he got into stocks, some of the myths surrounding the stock markets, the difference between a stock and a business, the different stock categories (or personalities), and finally Alex will share some great tips on where to start looking for information on individual stocks.
This episode is for you if you are looking at getting into investing in individual stocks but are not sure yet where and how to start yet.
Enjoy and share with a friend if you liked it 😀🙏!

Why Erika Left her Prestigious Job to Launch her Own Startup
Thursday Dec 17, 2020
Thursday Dec 17, 2020
Quick announcement: Today is this (crazy) year’s last podcast episode, the show will be back on in January. Enjoy this episode (Erika brought fantastic insights!) and feel free to stay in touch through social media or email jon@joneytalks.com 😀.
In today’s episode, we will speak to my friend Erika Kullberg who runs her own Youtube channel, Erika Kullberg.
Erika has worked for a number of years as a corporate attorney working for a large law firm. She was living a pretty glamourous life: She was handling high-value contracts, she was going on fancy dinners, she was making good money,... but she was also working 100-hours weeks and after some time she realized this path was not fulfilling anymore. This is when she decided to leave her corporate job to start her own legal start-up and as well launch her (successful!) personal finance Youtube channel.
We will discuss why she did not pursue this "dream career" you only see in movies and we will go quite into details on how you can start a Youtube channel and grow it as she did!
This episode is for you if you are currently in a safe job but are looking at getting more fulfillment out of your career and/or if you have been wondering about starting a Youtube channel to talk about and monetize your passion!
Enjoy and share with a friend if you liked it 😀🙏!

Thursday Dec 10, 2020
In today’s episode, we will speak to my friend Rocky Lalvani, he helps business owners to be profitable and also runs two podcasts in parallel: Richer Soul and Profit Answer Man.
Rocky came to the US at a very young age with his immigrant Indian parents with only 25 bucks in their pocket and yet despite this rather difficult start, both Rocky and his family managed to climb their way up to a successful life.
Rocky will share his story with us and we will explore how he managed to achieve success starting from an unprivileged place and how you can take steps to get to where you want in your life (spoiler alert: it does not happen overnight).
This episode is for you if you are working towards living a richer life (how broad that may sound) and want to hear from someone who has worked his way up the Maslow hierarchy of needs.
Enjoy and share with a friend if you liked it 😀🙏!

Why Human Interaction Still Matters For Financial Advice with Brian
Thursday Oct 22, 2020
Thursday Oct 22, 2020
In today’s episode, we will speak to my friend Brian Thorp from Wealthtender.
After an extensive career working with global asset management, Brian founded his company Wealthtender with the aim of connecting people with the best fitting financial resource, educator, or advisor.
We will discuss the evolution of digital investing tools throughout his career and why human advice (through a financial advisor, podcasts, blogs, coaches,...) still has a place in today's world. We will also tackle the misconception that one needs to be wealthy in the first place to hire a financial professional.
This episode is for you if you have been looking for financial advice around but have not yet found the best financial resource that fits your needs or the best financial professional that you can connect with.
Enjoy!
